About our Kids' Program Supervisor, Mandy Beach
Mandy Beach not only has the perfect name for her job, but she also has a lot of experience with teaching and managing activities for children. She attended Central Michigan University where she studied Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.
She worked as a preschool teacher for the Head Start program in Michigan and also as a preschool teacher for the University of Michigan’s Children’s Centers.
Upon moving from Michigan to Florida with her husband in 2014, Mandy hired in as a preschool teacher on Sanibel Island for the Children’s Education Center of the Islands. She and her husband bought a home in Cape Coral where they plan to stay.
Mandy joined Pointe Santo as the Recreation Director in 2016. One of her favorite things about working as the Recreation Director at Pointe Santo is that she is able to see the excitement on the children’s faces when they enter the Clubhouse and spend time meeting new friends, making crafts, or just hanging out. The Pointe Santo Clubhouse is a happy place!
Sea turtle conservation is important to Mandy, and she loves the chance to share her knowledge with the children and families that visit Pointe Santo. She loves opening kids’ eyes to the diverse, beautiful wildlife and helping them appreciate the nature that is right here on our grounds and all around Sanibel.
Mandy has always enjoyed working and interacting with children and families. She loves working with children because every day is different and every day is a chance to learn something new.
